Good morning, yesterday the water temperature fell on the beach to 71 degrees driving all the bait to deeper water. Some bait could be found in the cove in Vero but all in all the cooler water temperatures are not good for fishing. These conditions can change rather quickly over night or during the day so you will need to find out somehow. We will keep you informed as things develop. Offshore the fishing was slow, Rusty Varn reported last night that the kingfishing had fallen off a lot. Cold water upwellings are common this time of year and can change rapidly offshore as well. Bottom fishing has been good on the reefs and over the areas wrecks. Amberjack will populate the wrecks and will give you a good battle.
Inshore, trout fishing was good around bear point and south around little mud creek. The snook fishing was not good on the south jetty or in the inlet last night. Blame on the water temperatures in the inlet as well. One angler reported catching some redfish north of Harbor Branch using DOA shrimp. Snook fishing around Taylor creek has improved since the rainy season started this week.
Have a good weekend, Kadri.
