Good Morning! The weekend was fishing was pretty good. The water seemed to improve from what it was last week and the fish started to bit. There were some nice dolphin caught offshore, and there were some tuna caught on the corner.
Saturday was the Fort Pierce Sportfishing Club verses the Orlando Fishing Club tournament. I heard the Orlando Club didn’t do so hot, but a few of the Ft. Pierce boats did well. Bob Haine fishing on his boat Reelax caught 4 dolphin- 20#, 14#, 11#, and 9#. All at the same time. I think I heard of a fish or two bigger but I didn’t hear the weighs. There were also some dolphin caught yesterday. My friend Steven Haines was fishing in 200 feet of water off the inlet. He said the water temp there was 76.4 which is a big improvement from Friday. They had slow fishing most of the day but did manage to catch a 25# dolphin. Later in the day the also caught a mutton while fishing on the beach.
The Corner produced a few more yellowfin for the Floridian. They fished there yesterday. They had had a handful of small yellowfin, some blackfin, some dolphin, and jumped off a white marlin. They caught all there fish on an iLander Jr. and ballyhoo combination.
Have a good week.
