Good Morning, I think the pending weather will keep most if not all boats in port today. Small craft caution posted this morning under a tornado watch. Yesterday brought us plenty of wind and one boater who reported a nice catch of gaffer dolphin on bally-hoo. Mike Bunnell reported 5 dolphin in 200′-240′ yesterday and kingfish also on bally-hoo on the 80′ bar.
Inshore, we received reports of pompano in the surf on Ft. Pierce’s south beach. Anglers reported catching them on clam strips and sand fleas. More reports yesterday from the south jetty of some excellent flounder fishing. I have talked to some folks that have been reporting some good snook action in skinny water on top water lures, like a 31/2" Bomber Badonk-a-Donks. Trout fishing has been good when you can find a spot out of the wind.
Have a great day, Kadri.
