Good morning,
We had a pretty decent dolphin bite going the last few days but now this nasty wind has it pretty beat up again. Bottom fishing was also decent. We had good reports of mangroves, red snappers, groupers, and plenty of jacks. I’m not sure why you would bother trying this however unless you are just looking for a photo opportunity.
Inshore the trout fishing has been getting really good. There are good numbers of fish in the Vero area and also to the South along I.R. Drive. Red-fishing has stayed consistent. Some days the fish have been concentrated into super big schools (over 200 fish ) and the next they seem pretty spread out. There are still some nice pompano around, with the main body towards Jensen Beach and Stuart. The water has warmed up enough that top-water fishing has started getting pretty good.
Get out and make it happen!
