Good morning,
It looks like we are back to cold and windy for a few days. I have heard of some good bottom fishing between Ft. Pierce and Stuart. Some nice grouper and snapper were caught this week although they are not worth much more than a picture due to all the closures. The beach fishing has been rocking the last two weeks if you are looking for some action. There are still plenty of spinner sharks, huge schools of jacks, tons of bluefish and mackerels, and even a good number of very chilly tarpon. Are big brown friends the cobia are still popping up every few days and will hopefully continue to do so through the Spring.
Inshore the trout bite has been good. Some nice fish have been caught South of Bear Point and along the I.R. Drive. D.O.A. shrimp have been working well as are jerk baits in white or pearl. The redfish are still here in good numbers and seem to be more cooperative on and incoming tide. Pompano fishing is still good. There were several beefy ones caught this week in the 5# range.
Hope everyone has a great weekend!
