Good morning, the Stuart Light Tackle Sailfish Tournament kicked off its 4 day event yesterday. 108 sailfish were released from the field of boats fishing. The weather forecast for the next couple of days provide you with a nice window of opportunity to try your luck at sailfish, dolphin and wahoo. Amberjacks can be found on our areas wrecks and reefs. Pompano, bluefish and spanish mackerel are on our areas beaches.
Inshore, trout fishing is excellent in deeper water, Richard Loupe reported a catch and release of 60 trout on his last trip. Richard is fishing a DOA shrimp suspended under a float, fishing in 4 ‘-5’ of water. Kadri Benton reported that the snook fishing was very good last night at the wall, the south jetty and the inlet. With the end of the snook season in sight ( December 15 ) anglers are trying to get their last licks in before it closes.
Here’s to a great weekend, try to get out and enjoy the best that Florida has to offer in outdoor activities, Donald.
