Good morning, from offshore over the weekend we received a few reports of swordfish bites down to the south of the Ft. Pierce inlet. We don’t have any specifics at this time and will let you know when we do. Small schoolly size dolphin can be found around scattered weeds and there are kingfish in 60′-70′ of water. Anglers reported lots of flyers offshore over the weekend as well.
Inshore, we received numerous reports of big redfish hitting north in the lagoon. Snook have been hitting in the Ft. Pierce inlet. Use live bait during the day and jigs late in the day and into the night. As the fall mullet run is slowly beginning, Bombers, windcheaters & DOA baitbusters will also get you some snook action. The snapper bite continues around the bridges and channel edges, try live shrimp around the pilings.
Don’t forget snook season opens September 17th regular snook regulations apply.
Be sure to get your entry in for the Whites Tackle 3rd Annual Inshore Classic fishing tournament to be held on October 9th.
Have a great day, Donald.
