Good morning, The fish are back! I finally got a few good reports from both inshore and offshore. First, the offshore report from the corner was so so. There were a few boats that went, but no big yellowfins were caught. One boat had 40 or so yellowfins, but the largest was maybe 15 pounds. Most all of them were "throw-backs". They did have a few big dolphins, in the 40 pound class, to add to the fishbox. The Floridian also fished over there yesterday. Glenn reported it being slow. There also was a boat or two that travel home from the yesterday. They reported slow tuna fishing as well, but did say the mutton fishing was really good. I saw a few of the fish and there were some big muttons caught!
As for the inshore fishing around here, Scott fished a charter yesterday and had great action. He fished to the south of Ft. Pierce and bent a rod on trout, ladyfish, bluefish, flounder, pompano, and who knows what else. It sounded like they just had a great day on the water! I talked to a few other folks that fished down to the south and even though they said they didn’t catch much they still caught a redfish and some trout. An addition to catching a few fish they reported seeing several large snook laid up in the grass. Its hopefully a sign of things to come!!
Have a great weekend and Happy Easter
Geoff
