Good morning,
We finally had some perfect weather on a weekend! From what we gathered fishing was pretty hot. We ran all the way to Jupiter yesterday looking for cobias and only saw two. I heard of a few caught farther out but they seemed to have disappeared for a while. Offshore, plenty of kingfish and scattered dolphins seemed to be the main report. On the corner, the Bottom Line had two wahoos over 60 pounds, four in the thirties, and some 30 pound dolphins and one dolphin in the fifties. Nice Day. To the North, off of St. Augustine, Anthony Guettler and crew (Hunter Brant, Jason, Ken, and Harold Conger) fishing with Capt. Frank Strickland had some nice wahoos and dolphins off the ledge and caught a 122 pounder. The picture is below, awesome fish!!!!
Inshore, redfish!!! There are schools of redfish from here to Vero with some nice fish showing up. Some of the schools are the upper slot fish we are accustomed to. There are a few pompano still lurking about and plenty of nice trout.
Have a great week!
