Good morning,
It’s been one of the longest periods of heavy wind I can remember. Good news though, it looks much improved for the week. Offshore should be great with the lack of fishing pressure for the last few weeks. Before the blow we were getting great reports from the New Smyrna to Daytona area so I can only guess some of those fish are close to us now. We also had some pretty consistent wahoo reports from the other side. I think we will take a stab at it as soon as is lays down.
Inshore has been very consistent to the North and spotty closer to our inlet. Capt. Bruddy Tyson called me yesterday and reported 15 slot sized redfish in the Vero area with several snook mixed in. He said they caught a few trout as well but the trout fishing was slow overall. As I was typing this Monty Peters called and said he and Tony Vercillo caught 25 reds yesterday to the North although they were all on the small side. The inlet snook fishing seems to have slowed down the last few days (for me anyway, went last night and never had a bite! I suck!!!) We have heard of a few nice pompano caught in the lagoon last week but no numbers as of yet.
Remember we are having a big tent sale both Friday and Saturday after Thanksgiving. We still have a lot of stuff left over from the move and some other clearance items that would make great holiday gifts!!!
Have a great day!!!
