Good Morning,
The reports have started flooding in and it seemed to be a pretty good weekend. The Fishin Machine fished a half day Saturday and had great fishing. They said that they got covered up by dolphin, bonita, blackfin tuna, and sailfish. The action was so good they ran out of ballyhoo and to resort to strip bait to remain fishing! Greg told me they had started to the north of bethal in 200 feet of water. They also fished Sunday and also had good action. They didn’t have as many critter bites, but did manage to catch two sails. They fished a little closer to home in 200-230 feet. The Reliance also fished closer to home and had a box of nice dolphin. Half of them were nice gaffers. They also managed to catch a sail. Capt. Moon and his crew of land lovers also captured a few sails outfront of the inlet. They also encounted some of the dolphin action seen by the other boats.
As for the river, Jim Barnhart and his boys fished north of harbor branch and caught some snook and trout and hook a monster "something" that tried to dump all the line off their reel. Unfortunately it will remain the monster that got away! Kadri also fished up there on the west shore and caught a redfish or two and saw several more. DOA copper crush colored CAL baits were the trick.
If your not busy fishing this coming weekend, St. Lucie Outboard is having a big Evinrude event. Stop by and see what is new from Evinrude, and see what it would take to repower with an Etec. I am! The event starts Friday.
Good Luck,
Geoff
