Good Morning, Anglers are starting to venture back to Swordfishing. Mark Malizia and Jimmy Gornto had a good one on Saturday night, weight unknown but the length was 78" and Mike Yavorsky caught one that was 53" on Saturday night as well. Offshore yesterday reports were very slow, not to many folks ventured out because of the record heat wave and thunderstorms that rolled through. Bait is plentiful around the buoys. Sardines can be found at the 10-A and Blue Runners can be found at the 12 buoy. There are still plenty of Kingfish around and a few Cobia have been caught the last couple of days. There are Bonita scattered along the beach and some Spanish Mackerel mixed in with them.
Inshore, Kadri Benton reported that the Snook last night at the south jetty went crazy for glass minnows and folks were catching them with DOA TerrorEyz. Plenty of Snook are around the docks just about any where in the lagoon. Trout are plentiful for the folks using live Pigfish. One angler yesterday told me he has been slipping out early before work the last few mornings and has done well using the 3" Riptide Mullet. Key word here is early before it heats up.
Have a great day, Donald.
