Good morning,
I haven’t heard a lot from offshore, but the beach fishing has been pretty good. There were some more cobias caught yesterday between the boil and the St. Lucie Inlet. There have been some permit caught the last few days on wrecks and on the reef. Tarpon fishing has been getting a little better each day. We caught a couple yesterday morning. One was about 70 pounds, jumped one off, and then caught my personal best or second best. It was an absolute monster caught on a pilchard (Thanks Dave). We estimated the fish in the 170 pound + range. There are still some nice kings on the beach as well as some big spanish mackerel and PLENTY of bait.
Inshore, get out early! The early bite has been good but the heat beats it down pretty quickly. Some monster snook are being caught under docks on white bait, and some large trout have been common bi-catch.
Have a great weekend, come by and see us today for our Daiwa Days Tour Event.
