Good morning,
Still nothing from offshore. I don’t know any brave soles who have ventured off in the last few days due to our friend the wind! It’s a good time to re-spool, crimp, twist, sharpen, and spend some money in White’s Tackle preparing for calmer weather. The fishing should be getting good offshore! A lot of fliers have showed up past the reef, there is bait all up and down the beach from South to North, and the water has warmed up substantially. Those are all of the key ingredients for big dolphin and good spring fishing.
Inshore, there were quite a few redfish caught early in the week but I didn’t hear much past Wednesday. Friend and customer Dean Nelson and I went to Titusville on Thursday and caught a few redfish and several nice trout. The largest trout Dean caught was close to 30 inches and around 7 pounds. Conditions were tough that day but we did see plenty of tailing fish and had a fun day as always. Kadri fished the Sebastian Inlet area last night and caught plenty of nice snook. Most were over-sized but he did manage to find one in the dinner range.
Hope you have a great weekend, good luck turkey hunters it’s opening day (what am I doing here typing????)
