Good morning,
The first day of the Pirates Cove Sailfish tournament went well. The Floridian is in first with 12 fish, the Vintage is in second place with 9 sails, and The Big Oh, The Mimi, and the Challenger were tied for third with 8 fish. Hopefully they will keep up the good numbers again today. We went across yesterday and found nice weather and good fishing (it's a miracle!) We ended up with several nice wahoo in the fifty pound range and a couple in the thirties. We also caught several nice blackfin tuna and one dolphin. We lost a few more wahoo and had to weed through several thousand barracudas. Anyway, it was a great day with plenty of action.
Inshore, we have not heard anything new. There were plenty of trucks at the boat ramp this morning so I'm sure we will have a good inshore report come Monday.
