Good morning,
Well it finally feels like sailfish season. I only have one offshore report so far although it is a decent one. Taylor Hanson fished on Monday on the Reliance and reported two out of three sails and a decent amount of dolphin. They also caught one dolphin on a fly rod that they were able to tease off of a mullet dredge.
Inshore, the snook fishing has been getting hotter as the weather has gotten colder. The fish at the bridges and in the inlets seem to bite better and better as the water temp. drops. This is also the time of year when you will catch your heaviest slot sized fish. There have been some pompano showing up on South Indian River Drive as far North as the Power Plant. With this cool weather we should start seeing good numbers of them here any day. T.J. Keifer caught 12 redfish on Sunday so there are still plenty of reds in certain spots.
Have a nice day!
