Good morning,
I hope everyone enjoyed their weekend. I didn't hear any reports from the other side as of yet. On this side of the stream it sounds like the bottom fishing picked up a bit. I heard reports of a few nice groupers, some genuines up to 12 pounds and some nice mangroves. There were a few smaller cobia caught and Devin Silas reported a 28 pound blackfin tuna while bottom fishing. There are still an abundance of kingfish around but take plenty of rigs because the bonitas are mixed in heavy. This should be one of the best swordfish weeks of the year. We have always done well this time of year and the moon will be perfect all week. Wednesday to Saturday should be the best. (Below are a few pictures from the other night on the "Twenty")
Inshore redfish remain the target for many. There are still some large schools of fish in the area but with the summer boating pressure and hot water they have been tough to tempt to bite. Some really nice snook were caught in the inlet over the weekend on both plugs and greenies. They are thick if you want to go catch and release some nice summer fish.
Have a great day!
