Good morning,
Fishing seemed to be a little slow over the weekend. There were plenty of kingfish around from the high drop area to the bar. I heard of one more nice cobia as well. From all the reports we could gather the current was still ripping which made the bottom fishing very difficult. Robby Kelly went across on Saturday and caught 40 or so dolphin and some tunas but he said nothing was very large. It sounds like the swordfishing was a little slow as well. I talked to Ben Horton who went Saturday night and didn’t have a bite. Hopefully business will pick up this week!
Inshore fishing seemed to be pretty good. The night time snook fishing has been as good as it gets for those who want to do some catch and release fishing. There are some scattered schools of redfish around and some hefty trout close to the inlet. We had a customer report catching some large mangrove snapper in the river on pinfish. Some were over 5 pounds.
Have a great week!
