Good morning,
Fishing inshore has been pretty good. Snook fishing was great for our customer Rick Browning in the north river yesterday. He caught over 20 snook up to 40 inches. He caught them on both artificals and bait. The larger fish were caught on live silver mullet and the rest were caught on a Super Spook topwater plug. Snook action is also good around the bridges. Guys are cast netting bait in the inlet then live baiting the snook and the occasional tarpon.
Kingfish action has been the best bet offshore the last few days. There have been big catches of fish out on the bar in 80’, but the fish have been smaller on average. The larger fish have been of the beach, but there are fewer fish. Dolphin fishing was good yesterday on the Ruby Gene. Capt. Fox caught 5 dolphins. He’s the only person I heard from that dolphin yesterday. The Floridian bottom fished yesterday and had little luck with the snappers. They said the current was running hard to the north.
Good Luck,
Geoff
