Good morning,
The offshore report today is non-existent. No one has fished since Sunday. If I had to make a suggestion it would be to go wind surfing or fly a kite for the next few days. There is a big swell rolling in and plenty of wind on top of it to make for a very angry ocean.
Lucky for us we have a nice clear river full of fish to test our skills when the wind blows like it is now. There have been some nice keeper size snook on the flats this week and some decent schools of redfish are making there way back here. There have been redfish on the flats north of Harbor Branch, the Moorings flat, and around the docks North of Riverside Marina. We have been selling a lot of the new liquid filled Sebille plugs and guys have been having great success with them. Geoff and I field tested one the other night and caught a few snook, a couple of trout, and lost an over-sized redfish on the black back Sebille. Let me clarify that Geoff lost the over-sized redfish due to poor angling and inexperience. Geoff claims that the Sebille has rubber hooks although after I examined the lure I found it to have razor sharp owner hooks which backed my theory of Geoff being a poor angler.
Hope everyone has a great day, don’t get wind burnt!
