Hey Everyone,
I just left the jetty and I think everyone in Ft. Pierce was going out the inlet so no one is probably reading this. It looks like it’s going to be a beautiful day out there. The sailfishing seems to have slowed the last couple of days. There are still some scattered fish but they seem to be from the mid 300’s to the South. Make sure you take at least 6 dozen baits because the little angry green fish are in an abundance. There are also kingfish out to 160′ and lots of boneheads. All in all some pretty action packed fishing. With all the boats that went out today we should have a good report for you in the morning for the weekend!
I fished inshore yesterday and it was a lot like the offshore report. Plenty of action but nothing extremely exciting to speak of. I started down South looking for Pompano that were either non-existent or way smarter than me (probably the latter). In the mean time we managed to weed through ten thousand jacks, ladyfish, bluefish, cudas, etc. etc. We did manage to catch some pretty nice trout to the South around some of the spoils. We move to the North and continued to catch non targeted species and threw in the towel about 2:00. We picked up a flounder, a snook, and another trout to the North but that was about it. Anyway, plenty of action! It would be a great time to take some kids fishing with the mixed bag and abundance of fish. It’s always great to be out there even when the fishing isn’t the best.
Have a great day, hopefully you are on one of the boats leaving the inlet this morning, not at work reading this babble!
