In 1925, White’s tackle opened its doors in downtown Fort Pierce, Florida in the PP Cobb Building. During that time, Fort Pierce was known for its growing commercial fishery and interests were soon sparked by recreational anglers that learned of the spectacular fishing in the area. After World War II, White’s Tackle moved up the street to 51 North Second Street. Since that move, White’s Tackle has grown with the ever changing fishing world. From its small local beginnings, it is now located in a 5000 square foot building at 1106 S. US Highway 1 in the heart of Fort Pierce. White’s Tackle has kept its hometown roots and stayed dedicated to its community, anglers and its friends. “If these walls could talk” the walls in White’s Tackle could literally write the history of Fort Pierce fishing. White’s Tackle is a full service tackle store located in Ft. Pierce, Florida. Our staff of knowledgeable anglers have fished the globe learning the secrets from the best captains and crews, and will be glad to pass them on to you. For over 80 years White’s Tackle has been outfitting inshore and offshore anglers from all over with the best tackle and service imaginable. We pride ourselves on helping fellow anglers pursue their game fish of choice from the most majestic flat to the farthest ocean. Scott Crippen is the owner/operator of White's Tackle. Scott bought the store in 2007 and moved it to its current location 1106 S. US1 in Fort Pierce, Florida. Scott's passion for the outdoors pushed him to create a career in the fishing and hunting industry, and to own and operate the finest outfitting store in the Sunshine State. Donald Raffensberger and his Father (Don Sr.) were the previous owners of White's Tackle. They owned the store from 1973-2007 when it was sold to Scott Crippen. Donald continues to work in the store and help with daily operations. Donald knows the area well and has helped Ft. Pierce anglers for 40 years. Geoff Quatraro started his career at White's Tackle in June of 1997 while still in high school. Geoff is the stores General Manager and has been around sport fishing his whole life. Geoff handles all of the Sport fishing boat accounts and oversees the inventory of the store. Kadri Benton came on board in 2007 and helped with transitioning from the old location to the new. Kadri is an avid flats fisherman and specializes in night time snook fishing. Kadri also spent a lot of time fishing tournaments and fished much of the SKA circuit from the get go. Kadri does it all at White's, from customer service to merchandising. Karl is the archery technician at White's Tackle. Karl started his career at White's when the new facility opened and spearheaded the Archery Department (no pun intended). Karl came from an engineering background and can tune a bow like no other. Karl helped grow the archery department to what it is today. Lori Barger started with White's Tackle in early 2011. Lori runs the internet division at the shop and handles all online sales and inquiries. Lori is also responsible for computerized inventory management and everything else the rest of us can't figure out that is computer related. White's has a full service repair department and work on most all major brands. Jim oversees all repair and parts.
