Location: Fort Pierce inshore/offshore

Good morning,

Today is the start of the Pirate's Cove Sailfish Tournament out of Stuart.  Everyone took a day off after the Quickie so we should have a good offshore report this afternoon.  Sailfish, Dolphins, Wahoos, and Blackfins have all been prevalent.  On the beach giant schools of spanish mackerels, bluefish, and bonitas are passing through and make for fun targets with fly and light tackle.

Inshore, the pompano bite continues to improve.  Target the pompano on shell bars, sand bars, drop offs, and on the flats.  Small pink, chartreuse, and copper bucktails have been working best.  More and more flounder are pushing into the inlet and surrounding flats.  Gulp shrimp on a 3/8 or 1/4 oz. jig head are hard to beat.  Snook fishing at night is still decent with the largest fish coming from South Bridge.

Have a great weekend!

-Scott
