Good Morning,
OFFSHORE:
The offshore bite out of Stuart has been great the past few days. Reports of Mahi and Sailfish caught in the 90ft-130ft range, north of the inlet. Bump trolling Live Pilchards has been the method of choice, But trolling dead Ballyhoo with a seawitch head has be productive as well. The Swordfish Bite has been ridiculous the past week straight out front, with many boats hooking up to 3-6 fish a trip! There have been plenty of nice Cobia around on the sand pile, and plenty of Kingfish on the reefs in 60ft out of Stuart.
INSHORE:
The inshore bite has been slow the past week in Stuart. There are plenty of big Snook to be caught but getting them to eat is a whole other problem. Live Mullet and Pilchards will work you just have to find the right fish. Hopefully the water will clear up from all this rain run off and the water will warm up a little.
WEATHER:
A weakening frontal trough will slowly sag into central Florida today bringing increased storm chances. Then, high pressure building north of Florida will produce freshening onshore flow from mid to late week as the trough dissipates.
.GULF STREAM HAZARDS…None.
