Good Morning, Over the weekend the wind and seas calmed enough to get offshore. Reports of Mahi and Sailfish from Fort Pierce Inlet down to the St.Lucie Inlet and the Loran Tower Ledge. The Mahi bite was good with small gaffers and larger fish around, your best bet for getting the bite is trolling ballyhoo, naked or with your islander or mold craft chugger of choice to provide a little extra splash. 90-250ft seems to be the depth of choice a little scattered but working inbetween those depths you’ll find the fish.
Inshore, the snook fishing has been decent at the bridges in Fort Pierce and Stuart at night, the South Bridge in Fort Pierce and 10 Cent Bridge in Stuart on the outgoing tide, bait of choice is flair hawks or free-lining a live mullet. Trout have been reported north of Fort Pierce around Harbor Branch, the new DOA 2.75″ Shrimp have produced well.
