Good Morning, Over The weekend the Backcountry Fishing Association had the monthly inshore tournament with 15 of the 20 teams signed up weighing in nice fish! Lewis and Cheryln Arnold took 5th place with a 6.12 lb redfish and a 1.48 lb trout. Bill Garren took 4th place with a 8.08 lb slot snook and a 1.75 lb trout. Jessie Gingras and Brandon Damron took 3rd place and $140.00 home with a 4.75 lb redfish and a 5.61 lb trout! Eddie Hess and Glenn Kasmerz took 2nd place and $210.00 home with a 8.55 lb trout and a 2.68 lb redfish! Monty Peters and T.J. Kiefer took 1st place and $350.00 home with a 4.08 lb redfish and a 7.98 lb trout! Congratulations to all the anglers who fished our February tournament and we can't wait to see you all return for our March tournament its the first weekend of every month for anyone who would like to fish just sign at the captians meeting. Offshore yesterday was a little slow with the west wind but there were a few sails and scattered dolphin on the reef in 80ft.There has been a few reports of some nice cobia free swimming around the sandpile and the reefs in 50ft.Inshore the fishing has been good with some nice trout and reds to the north around round island in the 3 to 5ft of water.The snook bite has slowed down a little with the west wind but should be good after this front comes through.The flounder bite at the jetty has been good on live shrimp and jigs on the incoming tide.Todays weather and tide info-
